Qualifications

Full Job Description
Onsite Project Engineer (PE) / Quality Control (QC) responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting in generating all project site deliverables, site planning and logistics, quality control management and safety management.
  • Inspecting and evaluating the work area in accordance with plans, specifications, and contract documents, reporting deficiencies as appropriate and elevating issues as needed to ensure safe work practices and quality.
  • Work in an operating healthcare facility may require off-hour work in order to maintain operations within the facility.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
  • The ability to perform remedial tasks using basic computer software like scheduling, update reports, and email.
  • Must have the ability to read, comprehend, and interpret contract documents, construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while attending to multiple tasks and demands.
  • Attend site visits, design meetings, project progress meetings, and final inspections.
  • Assist with project design, planning, and review to accomplish contractual objectives, and provide direction and support to subcontractors, support staff, trades, and crafts.
  • Assisting in developing, monitoring, updating, and communicating the progress schedule and its periodic revisions.
  • Assisting in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients representing the owner.
  • Adhere and maintain project site Safety and Health Plan to contract documents, regulations and procedures.
  • Adhere and maintain project site Quality Controls Plan (QCP) to contract documents and specifications.
  • Inspect and document all project site operations and activity to ensure contract compliance.
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
  • Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites and ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
  • Take actions to mitigate the result of delays or emergencies at project site.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Additional Tasks/duties Include:
  • Excellent communication skills and a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Strong ability to plan, organize, and work with associates to meet goals and objectives.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and implement construction drawings.
  • Physical, Environmental and Sensory Requirements Position works in office areas as well as through construction jobsites.
  • Moderate exposure to elements such as heat, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, moving machinery, etc., typical of a construction site.


Experience and Qualifications:
  • Experience in Medical / Healthcare Construction preferred.
  • Experience with US Corps of Engineers, government contracting, general construction.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Projects.
  • Experience with P6 (Oracle) is preferred.
  • ASHE Healthcare Construction Certificate (preferred but not required).
  • OSHA - 30 HR Construction Safety & Health (preferred but not required).
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification (preferred but not required).
  • US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors (preferred but not required).
  • The successful candidate should have sufficient work-related experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
