Full Job Description
This Program Manager for Commissioning will lead the governance framework for how commissioning is defined, integrated, measured, and reported across Micron's U.S. capital construction programs. This role establishes the standards, controls, and reporting structure needed to support consistent commissioning execution from project planning through turnover.
You will develop program-level commissioning requirements, governance processes, and performance reporting that integrate with project execution plans, schedules, and turnover strategy. The ideal candidate brings strong program leadership, technical credibility, and experience establishing structured commissioning frameworks for complex facilities.
Responsibilities
• Establish commissioning governance, standards, and program controls across new fab project expansions.
• Identify, standardize, and integrate commissioning program tools into project delivery lifecycle and enterprise systems to enable facilities start-up and operational readiness
• Define commissioning scope, execution requirements, system turnover expectations, and readiness criteria.
• Integrate commissioning requirements into project plans, contracts, schedules, and delivery frameworks.
• Establish reporting, metrics, and governance reviews to provide leadership insight into commissioning performance and readiness.
• Document and integrate program expectations for test plans, validation protocols, startup planning, and turnover.
• Drive phased cleanroom readiness strategies and turnover gates to support tool installation and operations handoff.
• Work across construction, engineering, commissioning, and operations teams to align commissioning scope, readiness expectations, and turnover requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in capital project delivery, commissioning, or construction management
• Technical fluency across process facilities systems, including HVAC, process utilities, electrical, and controls
• Experience developing and deploying program-level commissioning standards and performance frameworks
• Strong understanding of semiconductor industry standards and commissioning startup planning, turnover processes, and cleanroom or high-tech facility system validation
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in large-scale capital programs (semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, or similar)
• Knowledge of ASHRAE Guidelines and Standards.
• Experience working within multinational project environments with strong coordination across construction, engineering, and operations teams
• Professional certifications (e.g., BCxA, BCxP, CxA, QCxP, CQE)
