As a Construction Operations Manager/Director, you will lead the construction execution of complex power, pharmaceutical facilities, advanced technology facilities, data centers, and industrial construction projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable project delivery that meets the contractual requirements set forth by the owner/contract. This role provides strategic leadership across multiple projects and construction teams while partnering with project management, engineering, procurement, and clients to achieve operational excellence. Your leadership will directly influence project success, workforce development, customer satisfaction, and long-term business growth.
DAY IN THE LIFEA typical day begins with reviewing project performance, construction schedules, workforce plans, safety metrics, budgets, and key operational indicators across multiple active power, data center, pharmaceutical, and advanced manufacturing projects. You collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Superintendents, engineering teams, procurement specialists, subcontractors, and clients to resolve challenges, optimize resources, and maintain project momentum. Throughout the day, you evaluate labor productivity, equipment utilization, risk mitigation strategies, quality expectations, and contract compliance while making critical decisions that support safe and efficient project execution. Regular field engagement reinforces a strong safety culture, strengthens relationships with construction teams, and ensures alignment with customer expectations. Your leadership drives operational excellence, continuous improvement, workforce development, profitability, and successful delivery of complex industrial and mission-critical construction projects.
QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience managing construction operations for industrial, power, pharmaceutical, advanced technology, or data center construction projects.
- Strong understanding of industrial and mission-critical construction environments.
- Experience managing complex projects involving self-perform craft labor, specialty subcontractors, and fast-track construction schedules.
- Proven ability to manage construction operations in highly regulated, technically complex, and schedule-driven environments.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to analyze operational and project performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, and project execution excellence.
