Full Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Construction Manager to join our Water Resources and Construction Services Team. The successful candidate must have extensive experience supervising and overseeing the construction of large-scale industrial or commercial vertical projects. Water and wastewater treatment plant experience is preferred, but not required. This position is well suited for anyone with experience as a manager for a construction company who is able to effectively manage all aspects of site operations, including safety, quality control, scheduling, and budgeting. This position involves providing quality assurance oversight of the work of a general contractor who will have multiple trade subcontractors on a single facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan and manage all craft professionals, including assessing logistics plans, short-term schedules, material quantities, equipment, and client relationships
  • Work with the Project Manager to maintain communication with all project stakeholders to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule
  • Read, identify, and understand contract drawings and submittals; review and coordinate procedures for delivery, unloading, installation, and start-up to optimize production
  • Plan work in advance by reviewing, understanding, and recording estimated production goals during planning; provide feedback during execution and verify materials and subcontracts are adequately scheduled to meet production goals
  • Communicate over- and under-budget items to the Project Manager daily, and work to find creative solutions to improve budget issues


WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • 10+ years of relevant job experience in the construction industry
  • 4-year construction degree or equivalent combination of related technical training and experience
  • Experience in the construction of highly complex water and wastewater treatment plants is highly desired
  • Experience in vertical construction of facilities for commercial, industrial, and/or public use is required
  • Experience managing or assessing multiple trades and their coordinated interactions is required
  • In-depth knowledge of cast-in-place concrete
  • Detail oriented, organized, and results driven with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude with professional workmanship
  • Strong computer and technical skills
  • Proven ability to manage, coach, train, and mentor others

This is a full-time position with evening and weekend travel as well as regional overnight travel as required.
