Construction Manager in the
Richmond, VA region to support our fast-growing
Data division.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:- Oversee and direct construction of projects through completion.
- Work closely with the Project Management Team, Operations Manager, Deployment Team, Subcontractors, Engineering Team, Logistics Team, clients and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- In-depth review of projects to schedule and coordinate deliverables.
- Ensure monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and direct the Deployment Team, consisting of both internal labor and subcontractor resources.
- Ensure team has proper tools, materials and equipment for successful project delivery and support inventory management.
- Ensure achievement of contractual construction commitments.
- Daily review of construction progress.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Planning to anticipate and mitigate problems and resolve emerging issues.
- Support obtaining any required permits and licenses.
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:- Proven working experience in construction management.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules regulations and quality standards.
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
- Familiarity with construction management software packages.
- Ability to plan and see the "big picture".
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Leadership and human resources management skills.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field preferred, not required.
YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical environment requires the employee to work inside.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; occasionally move equipment weighing up to 15 pounds, and frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Travel as necessary to support company and customer needs.
DIRECT REPORTS:No Direct Reports, will have Indirect Reports.
