POSITION OVERVIEW: As a
Construction Manager at LJA
Land Development, focusing on
Construction Management Inspections you will provide overall construction management services for the Land Development Water/Wastewater Group while working closely with project managers, contractors, inspectors, and project representatives. This role will help support successful project delivery through construction coordination, constructability review, quality assurance/quality control site visits, schedule organization, submittal review, and cost estimating.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:- Serving as a liaison between project managers, contractors, and project representatives/inspectors.
- Organize or attending on-site construction meetings and pre-construction meetings as required.
- Periodically visiting construction sites for QA/QC.
- Reviewing construction plans and contract documents for constructability.
- Coordinating and organizing construction schedules and submittal reviews.
- Preparing cost estimates.
- Driving to and from outside meetings and inspecting water/wastewater facility project sites.
- Working outdoors as needed, including exposure to inclement weather conditions.
- Reviewing the contractors' estimate of quantities to verify payment accuracy and approve said estimates
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- 5+ years of experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience serving as a liaison between project managers, contractors, and project representatives/inspectors.
- Ability to attend on-site construction meetings and pre-construction meetings.
- Ability to periodically visit construction sites for QA/QC.
- Ability to review construction plans and contract documents for constructability.
- Ability to coordinate and organize construction schedules and submittal reviews.
- Ability to prepare cost estimates.

IDEALLY, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE:- Experience supporting construction management services for water/wastewater or land development projects.
- Strong organization skills to help manage schedules, submittals, meetings, and project coordination.
- A collaborative approach to working with internal project teams, contractors, inspectors, and field representatives.
- A detail-oriented mindset when reviewing plans, contract documents, estimates, and field conditions.
