You will be the Construction Manager for the Construction Team. Our team is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of new or expanded facilities.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Construction Manager you will be responsible for leading construction projects from concept through completion, ensuring design quality, schedule adherence, and cost control.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and functional studies.
  • Select, obtain, and supervise General Contractors and Sub-contractors.
  • Conduct construction surveillance to verify compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Provide engineering consulting services to local and divisional offices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in construction or engineering-related fields or a minimum of 3 years' experience in Construction or Project Management.
  • Have an understanding of building systems, materials and reading architectural/engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work effectively with customers, staff and management.
  • Problem-solving for on-site project issues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills for multi-tasking.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.


Desired Skills

  • Commercial construction project/project management or equivalent experience with 5+ years total professional experience.
  • Have an understanding of solicitation for proposal, evaluation of proposals, labor and material cost breakdown analysis, invoicing and contract closeout.
  • Knowledge of project management concepts including project schedules, scope, cost, risk and deliverables.
  • Demonstrates ability to write effective Statements of Work.
  • Successful budget control and execution of projects.
  • Experience providing high quality customer service.
  • Proficient in MS Office software programs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining project milestones, design and construction cost estimates, and detailed gantt chart schedules.
  • Risk management experience and cost spend projections.
  • Prepare and maintain project status and cost reports.
  • Respectfully dispute resolution with Suppliers.
  • Effective change management.


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
