Full Job Description
RVE (an Ardurra company) is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team in Cherry Hill, Morganville and/or Secaucus NJ.

Our Resident Engineering and Construction Inspection teams are composed of registered professional engineers and National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET Levels I, II, III and IV) certified Resident Engineers who receive additional certifications from American Concrete Institute (ACI), National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE), NJ Society of Asphalt Technologies (NJSAT), and Traffic Control Coordinators (TCC).

Primary Function:

The ideal candidate for this position will provide construction observation for municipalities, including water supply and distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection and treatment systems, storm sewer systems, and roadway construction.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 5 to 15 years of experience in construction Management. They will provide construction management services for K-12 school districts, higher education. municipal, county, and state projects for vertical construction and site infrastructure work related to the building construction.

Primary Duties:
  • Coordinate contract administration services with design professionals and contractors.
  • Provide onsite supervision of contractors acting on behalf of the Client and to ensure the project is running smoothly.
  • Chair the pre-construction & Biweekly job progress meetings and distribute minutes accordingly.
  • Ensure all project records are provided and maintained.
  • Coordinate all required inspections with the contractor and the code office having jurisdiction over the project.
  • Document all RFI's, Change Orders, Submittals, Shop Drawings and ensure proper responses are given to the appropriate party.
  • Review applications for payment with the contractor and confer with the design team on recommendations for progress payments.
  • Provide effective communication with the project team.
  • Provide quality assurance inspections of work as it is being constructed.
  • Review safety plans and construction operations to ensure that all work is being done in a safe manner and that the occupants of the building are protected at all times.
  • Assist with the closeout of projects to ensure the project is turned over to the client.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pursue NICET certifications is a must
  • ACI-Concrete Field Testing
  • Ability to clarify and concisely express thoughts verbally and in written correspondence/reports/specifications.
  • Provides effort and takes pride in all work assignments produced.
  • Not afraid to ask for guidance/assistance in order to expedite the date of assignment deliverables.
  • Ability to simultaneously work on group and individual assignments.
  • Must have effective communication, management and writing skills.
  • Must be skilled in the use of Word/Excel products.


Salary Range: $81,000.00 To $97,200.00 Annually
