Position Overview

C&S Companies is seeking a Construction Assistant Project Manager for Commercial Industrial type projects to assist the Project Management and Pre-Construction team in coordinating and administration of general contracting construction projects. Areas of focus will be subcontract scope reviews, Project submittals, RFI's coordination, contract support, change orders, scheduling, construction progress tracking and capabilities with econstruction systems.

Responsibilities
  • Full time onsite representation
  • Assist the Project Manager, Site Superintendent, in coordination and communication requirements for project administration.
  • Maintain project schedule as assigned by the Project Manager through managing submittal approvals, RFIs, coordination the timely delivery of materials (procurement)
  • Manage submittal log and coordinate submittals and coordination drawings with subcontractors and the Superintendent.
  • Manage, direct, coordinate the subcontractor's compliance with the Contract Documents as delegated by the Project Manager.
  • Assist with the scopes of work, bid package development and coordinate scope validation.
  • Distribute proposal change documents to subcontractors/suppliers and assist in collecting pricing and/or prepare change proposal requests for internal pricing review.
  • Be responsible for compiling and submitting owner-required close-out documents as well as assist subcontractors/suppliers in scheduling owner-required training and documentation.
  • Manage all meeting minutes, agenda distribution and logs within Procore management systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of the construction industry and construction principles/practices.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and scope of services.
  • Basic knowledge of construction drawings, contract documents, construction sequencing
  • Bluebeam and procore system experience required.
  • MS project scheduling experience is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment while reporting to office daily.
  • Ability to travel as necessary for specific assignment work.


Required Education & Experience.
  • Project Engineering experience with commercial New Build General Contractor
  • 3- 5 years working as a administrative support role for new build medium to large construction projects

  • Procore experience, a plus
  • Experience with Pre-Engineered Metals Buildings, or large-scale commercial products, a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or construction management, a plus
  • Previous field experience or working on site specific new building, a plus.


Estimated Compensation Range: $90,000 - $115,000/year*

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
