PRIMARY FUNCTION
Manages the coordination and administration of configuration management activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Must be familiar and have a working knowledge of the concepts and practices of the following documentation as a minimum and how they apply to Configuration Management: EIA-649, MIL-STDs 961, 963, 1521, 973, 480, 481, MIL-HDBK 61, AS9100, AS9101, and AS9110
- Must be able to apply the concepts and practices of these documents and internal SOPs, QMPs and other company processes and procedures identified in company contacts and the CM requirements set forth therein.
- Must have an understanding of engineering documentation and how they are affected by the above documents as well as MIL-STD-31000 and MIL-DTL-31000.
- Must have a general understanding and ability to read engineering documentation and how to apply the change processes to this documentation.
- Must ensure program/ project CM functions are completed on time.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position may have direct reports and supervise employees on daily tasks. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Must be familiar with the management and control of technical documentation in support of programs/projects.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the configuration management field.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this particular field.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complex tasks.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Typically reports to a unit/department head.
- Should possess effective communication skills; strong analytical and organizational skills; an ability to work as part of a team; and the ability to deal with multiple tasks and changing priorities are essential.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
