POSITION: Senior Configuration Management Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
Manage the configurations, bill of materials, documentation, and engineering changes for products across Hanwha Power. Coordinate with stakeholders including engineering, quality, commercial and supply chain to ensure implementation is correct. Determine and apply best practices and continuously improve tools used to support configuration management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage the coordination and administration of all Configuration Management activities.
- Own and enhance Bill of Material structure and usage, expanding from component levels to frame and customer levels.
- Act as a stakeholder with engineering for products & control the best practices.
- Own, drive & lead the PLM processes & tools to ensure success of the business initiative for global growth while maintaining operational excellence.
- Formulate procedures for and execute the introduction of changes to engineering products.
- Monitor the engineering change data and change accounting activities to ensure adherence to Configuration Management procedures and policies.
- Promote a safe working environment through existing EHS initiatives and the proposal of new EHS initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Training
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant business or engineering disciplines, with a minimum of 8 years of applicable experience in a design, manufacturing, and/or repair environment, Aerospace, Gas Turbine, or related industry.
- Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM's EHS Training Matrix.
Skills/Experience
- Minimum of 8+ years experience in the understanding and execution of Configuration Management activities in an Engineering environment.
- Experience in the Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) industry strongly preferred; other technical manufacturing industry experience acceptable.
- Must be able to read and understand Bill of Materials, drawings and specifications.
- Must have demonstrated change management experience.
- Proficient in computer applications relevant to configuration management, including PLM (Teamcenter preferred), ERP (SAP preferred), and MS Office programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to present technical topics to peers, higher management and customers.
- Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills, including ability to motivate and influence.
- Exceptional organization and planning skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, projects or programs with on-time delivery and on budget.
- Travel as required on an as needed basis.
