Full Job Description
Amentum is seeking a Configuration Management/Data Management (CMDM) Manager to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the manager for Configuration Management, Data Management, Product Support (technical manual development/maintenance, integrated logistics support, etc.), and Technical Data Management (drafting, drawing development/maintenance, etc.) functions on the Western Range.
  • Provides Configuration Management Data Management (CMDM) related technical judgment and leadership, is highly proactive, and knowledgeable in processes across the functional areas supported by the CMDM Department.
  • Provides managerial direction with an understanding and adherence to established department/company policies and procedures ensuring a high standard of professional excellence is maintained among staff members.
  • Interfaces with internal and external customers, coordinates process and product reviews, establishes and maintains product baselines, and reviews and releases engineering work products
  • Prepares proposals, basis of estimate generation and personnel resource management.
  • Establishes and implements short- and long-term strategies to deliver services to customers within reasonable schedules and budgets.
  • Establishes and communicates goals and objectives, defines methodologies, tasks, and activities, and clearly describes roles and responsibilities for performing to personnel. Communicates broadly to help ensure overall coordination for cross-functional teams.
  • Works in partnership with the ER CMDM Manager to ensure a consistent and comprehensive approach is applied across the SFRC enterprise.


Required Skills:
  • Ability to establish and maintain highly effective internal and external working relationships including interfacing with employees, upper management, vendors and high level government personnel
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, process improvement, people management, project management, presentation skills and strategic decision-making
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use own judgment and initiative in problem resolution
  • Understanding of the Configuration and Data Management disciplines
  • Knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools and Source Control tools


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field or equivalent Combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of Engineering or relevant experience to include Configuration and Data Management experience; Experience in a DoD environment.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Experience supporting the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC) preferred


Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
  • Must be flexible to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship


Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual starting salary for this position is between $130,000 - $140,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
