POSITION SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Because Eastern Shipbuilding is continually growing to meet the needs of our customers, the essential duties and responsibilities may be different than described.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly and/or indirectly supervise employees assigned to the Engineering Dept. Travel is primarily local, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
Skills:
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, employees, government officials, and the public. Ability to carry out and understand assignments, and/or convey or exchange routine information. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, general business periodicals, technical procedures, company policies/procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to rapidly obtain, sort, filter, and analyze large volumes of data for distillation into high-level reports. Ability to work in a highly technical and fast paced detailed design and construction program environment. Ability to multi-task and work multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Advanced level Microsoft Suite experience required including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Requires excellent written, oral, and presentation/communication skills. Experience managing and maintaining a database. Knowledge of AutoCAD.
