Full Job Description
We are pleased to announce the opening for a Configuration Analyst who will join our Digital Transformation, Acquisition, Modernization, and Modification (DTAMM) Program supporting in Vandenberg Space Force Base (SFB), CA and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team known for performing system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence needed for the Spaceport of the future.

Responsibilities:

  • You will assist in documenting and tracking all aspects of system development and modifications.
  • You will review all issued document change requests, document change notices and associated drawings for accuracy, completeness, and proper signatures.
  • You will ensure configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations.
  • You will structure and maintain databases, submit engineering changes to customers for review and approval, and maintain records and submit reports regarding status.
  • You will prepare configuration verification audit record sheets for all programs.
  • You will receive assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives.
  • You will establish and recommend changes to policies, which affect subordinate organization(s).
  • You will develop technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.


Basic Qualifications:

  • You must have a bachelor's and five (5) years or more experience; master's and three (3) years or more experience; PhD or JD and zero (0) years or more experience in a technical field such as Engineering. Six (6) years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree will be considered.
  • You must have demonstrated experience in configuration management processes and practices.
  • You must possess or can obtain an active Secret clearance.
  • You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Western Range (Vandenberg SFB) instrumentation, capabilities, technologies, and processes.
  • Experience in drafting
  • Experience creating, editing, and reviewing drawings using AutoCAD
  • Experience in product design and product structure
  • Experience utilizing product lifecycle management tools (e.g. Windchill, Teamscenter)
  • Experience in Government/Department of Defense (DoD) configuration management processes.
  • Experience modernizing systems in a DoD environment.
  • Experience interfacing with and presenting to government customers.
