THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING
Established cash application team within the Credit & Accounts Receivable organization of a global company with a large, diverse customer base
Team includes remote and distributed associates supported by cash application automation technology
Role reports to senior Credit & AR leadership and serves as the primary owner of cash application operations

WHAT YOU`LL BE DOING:
Lead a team of cash application associates, setting priorities, distributing workload, and holding the team to clear performance and service expectations.
Own cash application end to end, ensuring customer payments are applied accurately, on time, and in line with established controls and procedures.
Drive reduction of unapplied cash through proactive monitoring, aging management, root cause analysis, and targeted resolution plans.
Build executive reporting and operational analytics that give leadership visibility into cash trends, performance metrics, risks, and opportunities.
Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on automation, standardization, and efficiency across the cash application function.
Work with collections, credit, sales, operations, finance, and banking contacts to resolve complex payment issues and improve cash flow.
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex cash application matters, using data and root cause analysis to drive lasting fixes.
Assess capacity and resource utilization to keep staffing appropriate, assignments balanced, and operations scalable.
Lead change initiatives, including system enhancements, process transformations, and organizational changes.
Coach and develop team members through performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
Gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders to improve service levels.

7+ years of progressive Accounts Receivable or Cash Application experience, including banking transactions, payment reconciliation, and hands-on management of unapplied cash
5+ years of leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams, including remote staff
3+ years using cash application automation technology, with a track record of improving posting accuracy and efficiency
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis, identify trends, and turn data into action
Proven experience driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and internal controls
Advanced Excel and reporting skills, including building KPIs and executive-level reporting
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to present to senior leadership and influence partners across the business
Solid understanding of lockbox, ACH/wire and other electronic payments, bank reconciliation, ERP systems, and core accounting principles
