Full Job Description
Concrete Laboratory Supervisor

Lyten is looking for a proactive Concrete Laboratory Supervisor (CLS) to lead our lab operations. You will be the bridge between high-level research and daily execution, ensuring our laboratory remains a safe, productive, and innovative environment. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader who thrives on organizing complex data, mentoring junior talent, and pushing the boundaries of material science.

What You'll Do
  • Lead & Mentor: Supervise laboratory staff, ensuring high levels of engagement, productivity, and professional growth. You'll set the standard for behavior and technical excellence.
  • Safety First: Provide total oversight of day-to-day operations, maintaining a culture of safety and compliance for everyone in the lab.
  • Technical Excellence: Act as a subject matter expert in construction materials testing. You'll be responsible for project planning, R&D, sample preparation, and rigorous analysis of cement-based products.
  • Insightful Reporting: Organize and analyze complex datasets, transforming them into meaningful reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operational Support: Conduct materials sourcing, manage testing budgets, and assist as a liaison with certification organizations and external testing companies.
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity to ensure Lyten remains at the forefront of the market.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., electrical, manufacturing), or general science (e.g., chemistry) or a related field AND 5+ years of related experience ...OR master's degree in engineering (e.g., electrical, manufacturing), or general science (e.g., chemistry) or a related field AND 3+ years of related experience
  • Certifications:
    • Required: ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade I.
    • Required within 6 months: ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Levels 1 & 2 and ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician. Lyten will support the successful candidate in obtaining/maintaining these certifications.
  • Hands-on Skills: Proven ability to batch and test concrete; you aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and participate directly in lab tasks.
  • Mindset: A proactive problem-solver who uses innovative solutions to overcome technical obstacles.
  • Communication: Strong written and oral skills, with the ability to act as a technical resource for the entire company.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in standard office software and data analysis tools.


Physical requirements:
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Be able to work in a lab standing up to 8 hours each day.

Compensations Range:

The expected base salary range for this position is between
$96,400.00 - $144,600.00
The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
