Job Summary

Nidec Motor Corporation d/b/a Motion Control Engineering (MCE) is seeking a Compliance Engineer to support ensuring elevator control systems meet
applicable safety and regulatory requirements. This role applies established codes and
standards, executes product validation and testing, and collaborates with cross-functional
teams to support compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Ideal candidates have
approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience in compliance, safety, or regulatory
engineering environments. Salary range $80k - $95k

Job Description

Key Responsibilities • Provide support to various departments with code compliance activities under guidance from senior engineers. • Apply established elevator safety standards, including ASME A17.1 / CSA B44, ISO 8102-2, and CSA B44.1 / ASME A17.5 to product designs and testing activities. • Assist design engineers in incorporating compliance requirements into products throughout the development lifecycle. • Execute testing and validation of equipment to verify compliance with electrical safety standards and regulatory requirements. • Follow established test procedures and contribute to updates or improvements as directed. • Assist with third-party certification efforts (e.g., ETL or equivalent), including documentation and test support. • Support identification of compliance issues and participate in resolution efforts. • Maintain awareness of applicable codes and standards and apply updates to assigned tasks. Additional Job Details
