We areseekingadeeply curious, strategic thinkerto joinourGlobalVaccinesCompetitive Intelligence team.Inthis role,you willbea key partner toGlobal Product Strategy (GPS),R&D and Medicalteamswithin GSK27s Global Vaccinesorganization. You will act as an objective,criticaland strategic advisor based on your deepexpertisein current and future competitive drivers in the vaccines market. This is an exciting opportunity toinfluence strategy developmentand investmentdecisions anddeliver insightful and forward-looking analysis and recommendations to help shapecompetitiveGSK brand strategies.

The role can be located inthe UK (London) or the US (Upper Providence or Philadelphia).

Key Responsibilities:

Describe the key deliverables to be achieved by the post holder and the ongoing responsibilities of the role

  • PartnerAct asa trusted strategicadvisortoGPS, R&D and Medicalteams, providing dedicated competitive intelligence support for assigned brand(s) and program(s)on all relevant market and competition areas, bringingobjective, independent thinking. Partner with other Vaccines functions and markets as needed toprovidebroader insight and analysis

  • AnalysisCollect andsynthesizeinternal and external data with expert use of a wide range of information sources to deriveproactive,timelyand actionable competitive insight.Develop holistic and predictive competitor landscape assessments based on a thorough understanding and analysis of internal and external business issues,using robust CI sources and innovative methodologiesas needed

  • RecommendationsUseexpertiseon current and future competitive drivers in the marketplace to make critical recommendationsfrom your analysis, relatingimpacton our ability to be competitiveand influencing without authority.Proactively propose further areas of analysis relevant to the asset27s life cycle/place in market andthat are relevant to ourbusinessstrategies.Ensure relevantCIanalysis and deliverables are integrated intokeystagegates ofthecommercializationprocess, such asbrand planning, forecasting, evidence generation and strategic decision making

  • Rapid Key Event CoverageShape and directcoverage of key events relevantforyour area,ensuringeffective integration, consolidation andrapidcommunication of analyses and insights. Help develop systems/processesthatcanenable fast response to unplanned/ad hoc analysis

  • Congresses- Lead competitive intelligence planningand coveragefor key congressesrelevant to assigned brand(s) and disease area(s)with input from GSK teams and/orthird-partyagency. Drive GSK team preparedness, ensure key intelligence questionsaredeveloped, align on-site activitiesas neededandconsolidatekey insights anddisseminatepost-congress

  • CI CapabilitiesWorking with the Head of Competitive Intelligence,contribute to andhelp shape evolution of the team todevelopbest-in-class CI capabilities, and increase the value of CI to GSK

  • Indirect TeamManageworkflowand capabilities of the broader resource structure supportingthe CI team. Lead and coach these resources on high, focused performance,optimizingthe team to deliver maximum value

  • External Research- Engage third party agencies asappropriateand ensure all CI research activities are conducted withinappropriate GSKcode of conduct,complianceand ethical business practices

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor27s degree

  • Minimum7years27 experience in healthcare,pharmaceutical,strategyconsultancy or financial institution

  • Functional experience in competitive intelligence,gained either directly within a pharmaceutical company or from within a relevant healthcare CI,investmentor consulting environment

  • Strongunderstandingofthemedicine/vaccinedevelopmentandcommercializationprocess, including activities from preclinical through marketing of a product, and business knowledge of pharmaceutical/vaccinecompanies and their business practices

  • Excellent ability to condense significant amounts of complex informationinto sharp,succinctand impactful deliverables

  • Experienced in matrix environment with ability to build strong relationships and drive impact across a range of functions, seniority, and geographical locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D.- Science

  • Deep understanding ofand experience inmultiple vaccines indications that can be applied to competitive intelligence

  • Previousexperienceworkingin commercial functionsin a pharmaceutical company(global/regional, marketing,sales,etc)

  • Proven ability to challenge, influence and support senior stakeholders
