Summary:
Monitors and manages the organization's compensation programs in accordance with established standards and policies, ensuring they are administered effectively and aligned with the CHRISTUS Compensation Philosophy.
Responsibilities:
• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Conduct accurate market pricing/benchmarking of jobs, including ad hoc reviews as requested.
• Responsible for annual salary survey data submissions by the survey deadline.
• Conduct internal equity analysis of pay, considering all ministries, facilities, and locations.
• Analyze competitive positioning across the enterprise, considering all ministries and locations.
• Perform job analysis, job evaluation, and job classification initiatives to maintain accurate job leveling and FLSA classification.
• Evaluate new and revised job descriptions, ensuring content is aligned throughout and reflects the appropriate essential functions.
• Collaborate with appropriate audience to address compensation-related inquiries and support workforce planning.
• Manages multiple ticket queues within established SLAs.
• Prepare and analyze complex issues to deliver recommendations to leadership.
• Provides thorough and accurate cost analysis for premium pay practices as well as shift differentials.
• Communicate approved salary and wage information for new Associates and various salary actions in accordance with compensation guidelines and market data.
• Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, finance or related field
EXPERIENCE
• 5 years of experience in compensation, preferably healthcare
• Advanced understanding of FLSA and other federal and local wage and hour legislation
• Intermediate knowledge of HRIS/compensation systems
• Solid understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
• Proven experience managing large-scale compensation projects across complex organizations
• Occasional overnight travel
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) through WorldatWork preferred
In accordance with the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification and Registration Verification Policy, all Associates are required to obtain the required certifications for their respective positions within the designated time frame.
