Position SummaryThe Intermediate Compensation Analyst is responsible for evaluating job positions to ensure the company remains competitive in compensation and total rewards. Acting as a project manager for the annual merit process, this role oversees planning, requirements gathering, testing, training, execution, and auditing activities. The Compensation Analyst partners with leaders across the organization to provide recommendations, compensation guidance, and best practices that support sound compensation decisions and employee total rewards programs.
Core Responsibilities- Conduct market compensation analyses using published and ad hoc salary surveys and recommend appropriate pay grades and compensation levels.
- Review compensation recommendations to ensure internal equity and alignment with NeoGenomics compensation practices.
- Manage the annual merit cycle, including planning, coordination, testing, execution, auditing, and issue resolution.
- Partner cross-functionally with HRIS, HR Business Partners, Payroll, Finance, Audit, and other stakeholders to support compensation programs.
- Provide compensation guidance to business leaders and support projects such as reorganizations and career architecture initiatives.
- Complete annual compensation surveys and benchmark position, salary, and benefits data.
- Support job profile creation, job grading activities, and maintenance of the job catalog within Workday.
- Utilize Excel and analytical tools to perform compensation analyses, calculations, and reporting.
- Review new positions and job descriptions to ensure appropriate compensation and job leveling.
- Contribute to the successful administration of compensation programs and policies.
- Research compensation-related issues and provide recommendations based on internal practices, market trends, and best practices.
- Develop and document procedures that improve efficiency and support compliance requirements.
- Assist with employee and manager training materials related to compensation programs.
Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of two years of compensation experience, including participation in at least one full year-end merit cycle.
- Workday experience, including the Core Compensation module, highly preferred.
- MarketPay experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Knowledge of human resources laws, regulations, and compensation best practices.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity.
- Customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering an exceptional employee experience.

Travel: Up to 10%
Pay Range (will vary based on location & experience) $72,831 - $125,634
In all instances, the salary paid will satisfy minimum salary laws.
