Community Pharmacy Manager:
The Clinical Pharmacy Manager ensures prescription preparation, staff management, inventory control, med-to-bed service, financial and statistical reporting, and customer service for the outpatient pharmacy. Perform all related management and administrative functions as required by the Divisional Directors and the Director of Pharmacy. To assure the necessary support for the delivery of pharmaceutical services. To promote good working relationship between departments. Consults with medical teams concerning patients, appropriate drug therapies, including adverse drug reactions, drug compatibilities, therapeutic endpoints, drug monitoring parameters and drug-related information.
To assist all health care practitioners in remaining competent in current drug therapy. To assure drug therapy efficacy. To assist in containing drug costs and avoid unnecessary expenditures. Evaluate operational needs and review proposed solutions. To locate deficiencies and implement solutions. To keep pharmacy abreast of new problems for better services which lead to better patient care. will perform other duties as assigned. Will oversee two locations (Yonkers Specialty Pharmacy and Moses).
Education and Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy is is required, PharmD is preferred.
Valid NYS Pharmacist License/Registration is required.
Three years of outpatient and/or Specialty Pharmacy experience is required with at least two in a supervisory role is preferred.
Knowledge of prescription insurance plans, pharmacy management systems and general ambulatory operations. Knowledge of formulary management evaluation and review to balance treatment with cost. Knowledge of the rules and regulations related to the practice of pharmacy. Knowledge of customer service evaluation and practices.
