The Champlain Maternal Newborn Regional Program (CMNRP) is a network, hosted by CHEO, whose mandate is to provide leadership and support for the coordination, planning and delivery of quality perinatal and newborn health services in Eastern Ontario. The Regional Director leads a dynamic professional team whose mission is to enable excellence in perinatal and newborn care. CMNRP collaborates with health care providers, leaders and organizations on many initiatives at the regional, provincial and national level.
Effective communication with health care providers and stakeholders is critical to achieving CMNRP’s mission. As the Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and continuous evaluation of CMNRP’s communication strategy. With strategic support from the Regional Director and the clinical expertise of the CMNRP team, the specialist will engage with staff, health care providers, families, partners and related stakeholders to identify strategic communications opportunities and leverage a variety of internal and external communications channels to support CMNRP in fulfilling its mission. The specialist will provide communications support to the CMNRP team particularly around planning, producing, writing and editing final products for public consumption. The communications specialist will contribute to projects that support CMNRP’s vision of achieving the best health outcomes and optimal experiences from preconception to the first year after birth for all.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESTimeline may be extended or shortened based on operational needs.
Effective March 29, 2021, CHEO will conduct a more comprehensive pre-screening and evaluation process. This process may include more varied and multidimensional testing such as a written test, practical exam, or other assessment. All candidates who meet the essential and preferred qualifications may be tested.
Bilingualism (French/English) will be validated by a language proficiency assessment conducted by a third party provider. Candidates will be required to meet the minimum linguistic profile prior to the date of hire.
