Role Scope- Own multi-year commodity strategies for electrical equipment categories (switchgear, transformers, UPS, busway, power distribution, and cabling), building should-cost models that hold up against supplier pushback.
- Secure manufacturing capacity and lead times for long-lead electrical gear, locking slot reservations and delivery schedules against the forward build pipeline.
- Negotiate and execute Master Supply Agreements, Long-Term Agreements, and pricing amendments, coordinating with Legal and Finance on price reviews, metals escalation clauses, and cost-down commitments.
- Run Quarterly Business Reviews and supplier scorecards tracking quality, on-time delivery, cost, and responsiveness, and build dual-source and geographic diversification plans to close out single-source risk.
- Partner with Electrical Engineering on specifications, standardization, and design-for-cost decisions so every design change lands with a qualified supply base behind it.
What We're Looking ForThe below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.- You've built and owned commodity strategies for electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, UPS, or power distribution, backed by should-cost models that survive supplier pushback.
- You've negotiated complex, multi-year supply agreements and capacity reservations with electrical OEMs across global markets.
- You use copper, aluminum, and steel indices to structure escalation terms and get ahead of pricing swings instead of reacting to them.
- You've run RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes end to end, from supplier qualification through contract signature.
- You track supplier performance with scorecards spanning quality, on-time delivery, and cost, and you act on the data before a slip reaches the schedule.
- You've worked inside ERP and procurement platforms (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, or equivalent) enough to run sourcing events and spend analytics without hand-holding.
- Bonus: Electrical engineering background. Sourcing experience in data center, utility, or hyperscale infrastructure environments. Familiarity with UL, IEC, and IEEE standards for supplier qualification.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
