Job Title: Commercial Waterproofing Estimator

Salary Range: $75,000 - $120,000
Position Overview
The Commercial Waterproofing Estimator calculates the labor, equipment, and material costs for waterproofing, damproofing, air barrier, and joint sealant opportunities. In this role, you'll verify sales information, negotiate supplier pricing, and keep market data current so that estimates and project documents are accurate. A key part of the job is running risk analysis on complex projects and working with other teams on operational improvements while following company processes.
Essential Functions
- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial waterproofing systems, including labor, materials, equipment, and pricing
- Perform value engineering to recommend cost-effective solutions that meet client and project requirements
- Review drawings, specifications, and warranty requirements for accuracy and compliance
- Support sales by attending client meetings to assess building envelope conditions and recommend solutions
- Keep material pricing current and negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers as needed
- Compile submittals, manufacturer documentation, and complex project paperwork
- Take part in pre-bid, post-bid, and handoff meetings with the sales and project management teams
- Conduct risk analysis, generate job cost reports, and ensure compliance with contracts and company processes
Required Skills and Abilities
- Valid driver's license that meets state laws and company driving policies
- OSHA 10 certification and strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards
- Solid understanding of commercial waterproofing systems, codes, and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and technical specifications
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, The EDGE, and Centerpoint
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience
- 5 years of construction estimating experience preferred
- 5 years of waterproofing experience (code enforcement and building system inspection experience preferred)
- Commitment to continuing industry education related to estimating, including after hire
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Must pass an initial drug test and take part in the random drug testing program
- Work is mostly indoors, with site visits as needed
- Ability to work at high elevations
- Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and crouching
- Overtime and weekend work as needed
