Role Summary
As a Portfolio Manager, you will support the growth and management of Middle Market & Corporate Banking relationships by analyzing credit opportunities, monitoring portfolio performance, and delivering exceptional client service. This role offers the opportunity to build strong financial expertise, partner with experienced banking professionals, and contribute directly to client and portfolio success.
Key Accountabilities- Analyze financial information and credit requests to assess risk and recommend lending structures.
- Manage and monitor portfolio performance to maintain strong credit quality and policy compliance.
- Partner with Relationship Managers to support client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
- Coordinate loan renewals, financial reviews, and ongoing portfolio maintenance activities.
- Monitor borrower performance and repayment trends, taking proactive action when needed.
- Identify and refer opportunities for treasury management, deposits, and other banking solutions.
- Collaborate with credit, operations, and internal partners to deliver a seamless client experience.
- Participate in community and business development activities to strengthen market presence and relationships.
Education & ExperienceRequired- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate Banking, Corporate Banking, Specialized Banking, or Credit Analysis.
Preferred- 2+ years of experience managing complex credit relationships.
- Experience supporting business development or sales activities.
- Formal credit training.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or progress toward certification.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally as needed.
