Location: Midtown, New York City, NY
Hybrid work policy: 4 days in-office in Midtown, New York City (Mon-Thu required; Fri optional remote) About this role
We are looking for a Commercial Litigator with 5-6 years of experience to join Davidoff Hutcher & Citron's busy litigation group and run cases with real independence. This is not a document review role - you'll be writing briefs, taking depositions, and standing up in court from day one. If you're a hungry, gritty litigator ready to own your docket and build your own client relationships, this is the opportunity.
What will you be doing?
Run commercial cases independently from pleadings through dispositive motions and trial prep
Draft briefs and motions start to finish; argue discovery motions and cover court conferences in state and federal court
Take and defend substantive depositions across a broad commercial docket (business divorce, B2B disputes, real estate, employment)
Collaborate with senior partners and cross-practice groups (government relations, real estate, corporate) on complex matters
Build your own client relationships with 15% origination credit on business you bring in
Key Requirements
5-6 years of commercial litigation experience (strong candidates slightly outside this range considered)
Proven ability to write briefs independently from a blank page to filing
Substantive deposition experience and motion practice in state and/or federal court
Admitted to the New York bar (or able to be admitted promptly)
Ability to work in-office Monday through Thursday in Midtown Manhattan
