Commercial HVAC/R Service TechnicianPosition Overview:The Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs for various HVAC/R systems in commercial settings, while providing exceptional customer service.
We do NOT work in DC or Maryland.
Responsibilities:- Service and maintain a wide range of commercial HVAC/R systems.
- Respond to service calls and troubleshoot issues with HVAC/R systems.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, meters, and gauges to analyze system performance and identify root causes of problems.
- Develop effective solutions to resolve technical issues and communicate findings and recommended solutions to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Performs repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems.
- Completes necessary paperwork with company issued laptop/tablet.
- Participates in an on-call rotation.
- Safely drives company vehicle, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all safety requirements.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience as a Service Technician, with the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC/R systems.
- Universal EPA certification.
- Manufacturer certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Solid understanding of electrical circuits and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, meters, gauges, and other equipment to assess system performance and diagnose issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
Physical Requirements:- Ability to lift up to 85 pounds.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including rooftops and confined spaces.
- Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
