Commercial Executive Communications Manager
As the Commercial Executive Communications Manager, you will drive the internal communications strategy for critical lines of business (LOBs) within Commercial Banking. In this role, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to members of the Commercial Banking Leadership Team and their extended leadership. You will design, build, and scale sophisticated communications strategies that build associate confidence in our business priorities, showcase our momentum, and accelerate our overarching journey to become the Top Middle Market Bank. We are looking for a strategic "do-er"—someone who can confidently advise senior executives, but who is equally excited to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to help the team get the job done.
Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Counsel & Leader Enablement
Develop and implement executive communications strategies that bring our business imperatives to life
Serve as a core strategic, trusted communications partner to senior executives and their leadership teams, providing real-time counsel on reputation, engagement, and change management to meet objectives.
Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
Creative Storytelling & Internal Engagement
Plan and prepare effective and thoughtful internal communications that engage and inspire leaders and associates 6 including narratives, key messages and announcements
Create engaging experiences and creative storytelling 6 including executive-led meetings (virtual and in-person), digital/video assets, presentations and special events
Move beyond broad strategy broadcasting to highlight tangible wins, lessons learned, and evidence of progress that prove our strategy is working.
Execution of our Strategy
Balance high-level strategic planning with seamless, tactical execution; no task is too big or too small when it comes to supporting the team and delivering results.
Operate with a high degree of autonomy, proactivity, and resourcefulness to push projects across the finish line
Evaluate the performance of communications using core data and metrics; recommend ongoing adjustments to communications strategies, messaging, and channels/forums based on quantitative and qualitative feedback loops.

Masters degree in communications, marketing, public relations, english or journalism
6+ years of experience in communications working with executive leaders

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Charlotte, NC: $122,100 - $139,400 for Communications ManagerMcLean, VA: $134,400 - $153,300 for Communications Manager
Plano, TX: $122,100 - $139,400 for Communications Manager
Richmond, VA: $122,100 - $139,400 for Communications Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate 27s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
