Construction Scheduler to support projects across Northern and Southern California. This is a high-impact opportunity to become the company's scheduling subject matter expert, build consistent scheduling standards, and partner closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and construction leadership across a growing portfolio.
What You'll Do as the Construction Scheduler:- Build detailed baseline construction schedules from project kickoff through completion
- Develop and maintain schedules using Microsoft Project
- Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Operations leaders to establish realistic project sequencing and milestones
- Review schedules for accuracy, constructability, logic, and trade sequencing
- Support monthly schedule updates throughout the construction lifecycle
- Incorporate actual project progress and field conditions into schedule revisions
- Identify schedule risks, delays, and critical path concerns
- Recommend recovery plans and sequencing adjustments when projects fall behind
- Support planning across multiple active multifamily developments
- Help project teams translate schedules into practical field execution plans
- Establish consistent scheduling procedures, templates, and best practices
- Serve as the internal scheduling resource for Project Managers and Superintendents
- Train and coach project teams on Microsoft Project and effective schedule management
- Partner with construction leadership to improve planning and execution across the organization
- Help evaluate and implement additional scheduling tools when they can improve project performance
- Travel periodically between Northern and Southern California project locations
Must-Haves as the Construction Scheduler:- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining construction schedules
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project
- Experience building baseline schedules from project startup
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project planning
- Ability to evaluate schedule logic, durations, milestones, and dependencies
- Experience supporting schedule updates throughout active construction
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to explain scheduling concepts to construction professionals with different levels of scheduling experience
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-directed approach and interest in improving processes
- Willingness to travel periodically between Northern and Southern California

- Background as a Project Controls Engineer
- Previous Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Superintendent experience with significant scheduling responsibility

- Experience training field teams on scheduling software
- Familiarity with additional construction scheduling or project controls platforms
- Experience developing recovery schedules
- Experience supporting look-ahead planning and milestone development
- Experience working across both Northern and Southern California construction markets
Our Client Offers:- Base salary of $100,000-$130,000, depending on experience
