Full Job Description
Position Summary

The Commercial Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and cultivating new client portfolio relationships to meet all ongoing established portfolio growth goals as well as the maintenance, cultivation and retention of an established client portfolio, often within a specified geographic territory or product type. The Commercial Relationship Manager should have significant expertise and experience with all complex credit skills and have a high level and detailed understanding of all Fremont Bank credit, deposit and treasury products, and Fremont Bank policies.

The Commercial Relationship Manager should be able to concisely and clearly discuss and explain all bank credit, deposit and treasury management products to current and prospective clients. The Commercial Relationship Manager will work closely with the Credit Administration Department to provide timely closing of loans to meet established service levels in order to provide outstanding customer service to the Bank's clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meeting and exceeding personal annual commercial lending and depository thresholds
  • Supports unit's growth and profitability through calling on existing and potential clients
  • Identifies business needs and corresponding sales opportunities bank wide
  • Works closely with Wealth Management, Cash Management, Residential and other major areas of the bank to promote sales and implementation of complete suite of financial products and services
  • Provides assistance to clients with transactions by contacting appropriate department
  • Acts as a liaison between clients and other departments
  • Maintains thresholds around retention and growth of portfolio
  • Facilitates approval decisions on loans and terms within lending limits
  • Makes recommendations to appropriate lending authority
  • Negotiates terms and conditions of loans with clients
  • Attends commercial lending department sales meetings as required
  • Responsible for collection of past due loans in their portfolio
  • Assists in monitoring credit quality of loans in their portfolio
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance and/or previously related work experience
  • Three to five years of experience in commercial lending and business development
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a computer with Windows-based programs (Windows, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Basic understanding of banking policies and procedures
  • Excellent communications, sales and public relations skills

Salary Range

The hiring salary range is based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Compensation decisions are made in consideration of these factors and in alignment with Fremont Bank's compensation philosophy.

Salary Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
