PM Production Manager

Sofidel America is seeking an experienced Paper Machine Production Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership at our Gila Bend, AZ facility. This senior leadership role is accountable for driving world-class performance in safety, quality, productivity, cost management, employee engagement, and environmental compliance while ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. The successful candidate will bring proven manufacturing leadership experience, preferably within tissue, paper, or converting operations, along with a demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive sustainable operational improvements.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead all paper machine operations with a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance, quality, productivity, and cost control
  • Drive execution of the site's operating plan and performance objectives
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Lead and develop salaried and hourly teams across production, operational and maintenance functions
  • Partner cross-functionally with EHS, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, Engineering and other stakeholders
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including safety, output, efficiency, waste, and reliability
  • Support capital projects, asset performance initiatives, and operational improvements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
  • Drive organizational capability through succession planning, talent development, and leadership coaching.
  • Lead cross-site standardization initiatives to improve performance and best practice sharing.
  • Manage operational budgets and ensure achievement of financial targets.

Requirements:
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver results in safety, quality, production, and cost
  • Experience leading operations within tissue manufacturing, paper manufacturing, converting, or other highly automated process industries required
  • Demonstrated success leading operations across multiple manufacturing facilities or large, complex manufacturing environments
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment, including adherence to PPE and safety requirements
  • Continuous improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
