The ChallengeThe Systems Engineering team crafts, builds, deploys and maintains a wide variety of IT infrastructure using the latest standards and technologies.
We are actively looking for a Cloud Systems Engineer with a broad range of systems infrastructure related and general purpose programming skills. Our ideal candidate has a rich and diverse technical background, is creative and passionate about IT systems, as well as standardization, optimization, and automation. Furthermore, this candidate will have experience architecting, engineering, implementing, and supporting large scale enterprise networks, storage, and system infrastructures in public and private cloud, and on-prem solutions to accommodate end-users, developers, and internal/external customers.
Candidates are expected to stay aware of industry changes and plan to keep ahead of industry advancements to help guide the use and implementation of technology at Take-Two.
What You'll Take On- Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure across AWS and GCP, following cloud-native best practices.
- Manage all infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, writing, reviewing, and enforcing IaC standards across the team.
- Develop and maintain automation tooling and internal platforms using Python, reducing manual toil.
- Lead the design and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitHub workflows..
- Proactively monitor system performance and availability, participate in an on-call rotation and drive post incident reviews to improve reliability.
- Collaborate closely with development, security, and networking teams to evaluate and adopt new cloud services and technologies.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, establishing standards for code quality.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture decision records.
What You Bring- Hands-on cloud engineering experience, with significant depth in AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, EBS, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and more) and working knowledge of GCP.
- Write terraform modules, manage state, enforce policy, and review IaC PRs.
- Use GitHub for pull requests, branch strategy, actions workflows, and repository management..
- Python is your primary scripting and automation language. You write clean, tested, maintainable code.
- Proficiency with Linux system administration, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls), and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes / EKS).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience building or maintaining delivery pipelines.
- Experience architecting for high availability, fault tolerance, and cost optimization in a cloud-native environment.
- Communicate clearly to explain complex infrastructure topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Great to Have- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
- Familiarity with observability stacks like Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CheckMK, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of service mesh or advanced networking patterns (e.g., AWS Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, GCP VPC peering).
- Background in gaming, media, or other high-throughput, latency-sensitive industries.
- Experience with cost management tooling and FinOps practices in large AWS environments.
