Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD.

 

This team supports two critical web applications used across the Intelligence Community (IC) to manage collection initiatives, track signal analysis workflows, and maintain a comprehensive repository of signal and protocol reference knowledge. These applications serve as authoritative knowledge bases for signal and protocol parametric information, enabling users to search, contribute, and update records. By facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing across the IC and its mission partners, these products help ensure critical information is accessible and continuously enhanced by the broader community.

 

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to support a web application that manages collection initiatives and enables users to track signal analysis workflows across the Intelligence Community. The ideal candidate will thrive in a small, collaborative team environment and contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, documentation, deployment, and ongoing product maintenance. This role will work closely with customers and team members to develop new capabilities, resolve issues, and maintain the overall health, performance, and reliability of the application.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of directly related experience in software development.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is highly desired and will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience. (A Master’s degree in a technical field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience.)
• Demonstrated experience with full stack development.
• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience with the MERN technology stack, including MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux environments.
• Experience with unit testing and test-driven development practices.
• Proficiency with Git and source control.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

 

Cloud Developer certification, including one or more of the following:

• AWS Certified Developer – Associate
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Elastic Certified Engineer

 

Desired Qualifications

• Strong background and experience in Signals Intelligence (SIGINT).
• Demonstrated experience working directly with analysts and mission users to understand requirements, diagnose issues, and develop effective technical solutions.

Target Salary Range$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
