The Opportunity:
Join our dynamic team as a Cloud Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in providing cloud software research, development, and engineering services. You will be responsible for requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution. Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and test new features and capabilities for Apache/Accumulo needed to support large content and metadata repositories.
• Conduct Apache/Accumulo training sessions, which include hands-on software configuration and programming exercises.
• Develop web-based user interfaces to support search and presentation of operational data and develop web services that provide REST-based APIs to the content and metadata repositories.
• Develop algorithms to operate on large volumes of operational metadata. This work will investigate advanced parallel programming techniques for implementing analytics that can effectively run on petabyte-scale operational data sets in a secure manner. The mission-relevant analytics will be designed, implemented, tested for deployment in the content and metadata repositories.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze software requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for cloud-based solutions.
Design, develop, and implement cloud software solutions using industry-standard practices and technologies.
• Ensure code quality through rigorous coding standards and peer reviews.
• Install and configure cloud software solutions in various environments.
• Integrate cloud services with existing systems and applications.
• Evaluate the performance and effectiveness of cloud software solutions.
• Identify opportunities for enhancement and implement improvements.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for cloud software solutions.
• Monitor system performance and address any issues promptly.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of cloud software solutions.
• Perform unit, integration, and system testing.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex problems.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud software solutions, including user guides, technical specifications, and maintenance manuals.
Required:
• Within the last ten (10) years, a minimum of seven (7) years experience combined programming with all of the following languages: Java, C++, or Python.
• Within the last seven (7) years, a minimum of five (5) years experience designing and developing applications in a Windows or UNIX/Linux operating environment.
• Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of three (3) years experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Apache Accumulo, or Big Table
Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with Map/Reduce.) Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
• Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with requirements analysis and design for one (1) or more object-oriented systems.
• Within the past two (2) years, six (6) months development experience with Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Computing Services.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline; an associate's degree in computer science or related discipline and two (2) years programming experience or five (5) years programming experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$113,200 - $237,800About CACI International
