Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a
Cloud Software Developer to support a mission-focused customer based in
Dahlgren, VA . This position is a full-time role that will be
fully onsite . As a Cloud Software Developer, you will design, develop, test, and support reliable cloud-based applications and data-processing solutions within a dynamic mission environment. This role is critical in delivering scalable software and data engineering solutions leveraging AWS cloud technologies, system integration, ETL development, and AI-enabled capabilities to support evolving customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-based applications and data-processing solutions.
- Develop and support ETL workflows, data pipelines, and data transformation processes.
- Integrate software systems and services within AWS cloud environments.
- Implement and support AI-enabled functionality within applications and data solutions where appropriate.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver mission-critical software solutions.
- Support all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, integration, and cloud infrastructure issues.
- Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
- Evaluate and implement new programming languages, tools, and technologies as mission requirements evolve.
- Support data engineering initiatives and cloud modernization efforts.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and system architecture planning.
- Document technical solutions, processes, and system configurations.
Requirements:- Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility within 30 days of hire.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, application development, data engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Hands-on experience supporting the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- 1+ years of experience developing ETL workflows and data transformation processes.
- 1+ years of experience supporting software development for data engineering and system integration.
- Experience working with AWS cloud technologies.
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications or data solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- AWS Certified Developer
- AWS Certified Data Engineer
- CompTIA Cloud+ or comparable cloud certification
Compensation:Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000+depending on experienceFull Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Company paid holidays, Sick Leave (if required by law)
