Purpose of the role

To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.

Accountabilities
  • Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
  • Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
  • Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
  • Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.

To be successful as a Cloud Data Senior Developer - Data Control and Delivery AVP, you should have experience with:

  • Architecting and developing enterprise grade data products to support the principle of data mesh
  • Designing transitional architectures that integrate existing systems while navigating multi-layered architectural trade-offs
  • Establishing data governance frameworks and overseeing data flow mechanisms to ensure security, compliance, and lifecycle integrity
  • Developing target state architectures and transformation roadmaps
  • Modern application design including containers, micro-services, event-driven architecture, and cloud
  • Good understanding of AWS services like S3, Glue, ECS


Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Experience in the financial industry
  • Ample knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps/DevSecOps practices using GitLab
  • Skilled in influencing partners and stakeholders through clear, impactful communication
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Driving technical product selection processes and executing technical spikes/PoCs
  • AWS and Databricks and certification as a Cloud Solution Architect

Minimum Salary: $120,000

Maximum Salary: $175,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
