Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Senior Cloud Cybersecurity Manager (CCM) to provide comprehensive leadership, cybersecurity governance, and mission-aligned security oversight across cloud-hosted applications and enterprise platforms supporting a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role provides multidisciplinary cybersecurity expertise, oversees cloud security operations, guides the implementation of cybersecurity strategy, and ensures compliance with federal, DoD, and cloud security frameworks. 

The Cloud Cybersecurity Manager leads teams responsible for monitoring, securing, and optimizing the cyber posture of cloud-based systems while ensuring alignment with Zero Trust principles, continuous monitoring requirements, and risk management practices. This position supports high-visibility mission stakeholders and ensures that cybersecurity controls, engineering practices, and operational processes maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of mission data and services. 

This position is fully remote. 

Duties & Responsibilities

The Cloud Cybersecurity Manager will: 

  • Provide cybersecurity leadership, direction, and oversight for cloud-based enterprise systems and applications. 
  • Manage multidisciplinary cybersecurity teams supporting monitoring, incident response, vulnerability remediation, compliance, and audit readiness. 
  • Develop and implement cloud cybersecurity strategies, policies, standards, and best practices. 
  • Oversee security architecture decisions, including Zero Trust alignment, cloud security controls, and secure configuration baselines. 
  • Lead risk assessments, threat modeling, and continuous monitoring activities across cloud environments. 
  • Coordinate with cloud engineers, DevSecOps teams, and platform operations staff to ensure secure deployments and change controls. 
  • Manage vulnerability assessments, penetration findings, patching plans, and risk mitigation activities. 
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, NIST guidance, RMF processes, and cloud security directives. 
  • Provide leadership during cyber incidents including triage, containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reporting. 
  • Maintain documentation of cybersecurity controls, system security artifacts, audit responses, and governance materials. 
  • Present cybersecurity metrics, risk summaries, compliance updates, and recommendations to senior government stakeholders. 
  • Oversee access control models, identity integration, privileged access management, and continuous authentication practices. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cloud cyber operations, monitoring capabilities, and automation of security processes. 
Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Must hold an active Top Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 5 background investigation. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity or cloud security engineering. 
  • Minimum 8 years managing cybersecurity projects of similar size, scope, and complexity. 
  • Experience managing cybersecurity operations, risk management, monitoring programs, or security architecture for federal or DoD systems. 
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary cybersecurity teams including analysts, engineers, and incident responders. 
  • Experience with cloud security governance, secure configuration management, and continuous monitoring. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-53, RMF, and DoD cloud security standards. 
  • Knowledge of cloud security controls across AWS, Azure, or similar cloud environments. 
  • Experience with threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management. 
  • Knowledge of identity and access management, privileged access controls, and authentication patterns. 
  • Familiarity with SIEM platforms, log analysis tools, and continuous monitoring systems. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience with Zero Trust implementation or cloud-native security architectures. 
  • Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, security automation, and IaC security scanning. 
  • Familiarity with container security, microservices, or cloud-native application architectures.
