OverviewCloud Architect - HealthcarePublicis Sapient is looking for a Director of Technology to lead teams of technologists delivering measurable outcomes for enterprise healthcare clients. You will help shape and deliver modern cloud, data, and AI solutions-translating business needs into scalable architectures and high-quality execution, so our clients can move faster, operate smarter, and innovate with confidence.
Sitting at the intersection of healthcare transformation, advanced AI, and consulting-led delivery, you'll help define how agentic and AI-driven systems responsibly move from proof-of-concept to production across highly regulated environments.
ResponsibilitiesYour Impact:
- Lead client discovery and solution definition by turning ambiguous healthcare problems into clear architectures, roadmaps, and delivery plans.
- Stay hands-on where it matters: validate designs through architecture and code reviews, set engineering standards, and ensure scalable, secure delivery.
- Lead and mentor high-performing teams, owning delivery quality, technical risk, and execution on complex transformation programs.
- Design and deliver agentic AI capabilities in healthcare (autonomous workflows, tool-augmented LLMs, and multi-agent orchestration) that improve clinical, operational, and commercial outcomes.
- Help clients move from experimentation to production with agent-based architectures by balancing autonomy, human-in-the-loop controls, security, and compliance (HIPAA/PHI, auditability).
- Establish reference architectures for responsible AI in healthcare, including governance, observability, and evaluation frameworks.
- Partner with strategy and product leaders to shape pursuits, proposals, and transformation roadmaps that win and expand healthcare relationships.
- Serve as the senior technology voice in steering committees, executive readouts, and escalations, guiding decisions at CIO/CTO/Chief Digital Officer level.
QualificationsAbout YouYou're a hands-on technology leader who turns strategy into shipped outcomes. You're comfortable in the details (code, architecture, delivery) and at the executive level (technical vision, tradeoffs, influence). You bring strong consulting instincts, deep engineering judgment, and the presence to lead in high-stakes moments.
You understand agentic AI and how to apply it responsibly to create scalable client impact. You move fast, communicate clearly, and take ownership by driving outcomes, raising the bar, and helping teams do the best work of their careers.
QualificationsSkills, Experience & Differentiators:- Deep experience with modern cloud and data architectures (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP; APIs, eventing, data platforms) and secure-by-design engineering. AWS: Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, and the surrounding AWS services needed for production workloads.
- Ability to dive deep when needed by reviewing designs and critical code, prototype high-risk components, and unblock teams during complex delivery moments. Agent development lifecycle: design, build, evaluation, guardrails, deployment, monitoring.
- Agent orchestration: Anthropic Agent SDK or OpenAI Agents SDK, multi-agent patterns, tool integration.
- Complex and semantic data: knowledge graphs, ontologies, taxonomies; ability to review and optimise graphs through normalisation.
- Experience leading engineering teams (including distributed/multi-geo) and owning delivery governance across multi-workstream programs (quality, risk, security).
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated people leadership: hiring, mentoring, coaching, and building inclusive, high-accountability engineering cultures.
- Strong grounding in responsible AI practices (governance, evaluation, monitoring, auditability, and risk management), ideally in regulated environments.
- Preferred: Aprimo or Veeva, Salesforce, particularly Agentforce
- Preferred: Healthcare domain experience, including interoperability and compliance (HIPAA/PHI; HL7/FHIR ecosystems or adjacent healthcare regulatory frameworks).
- Preferred: Cloud and/or ML/analytics certifications; comfort traveling as needed to support senior client relationships and delivery milestones.
