Serves as Cloud System Administrator, for the Information Technology Directorate, Business and Support Services Division (MR), Headquarters Marine Corps. Provides technical support with all cloud instances including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate), and Dynamics 365.
Responsibilities include supporting day-to-day cloud operations Supporting onboarding activities, developing automation using scripts and low code tools, and integrating business solutions leveraging PowerApps, Dynamics 365, and Dataverse. Ensures ongoing configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of enterprise cloud systems.
Maintains and develops standards for best practices in cloud and hybrid environments and reports to IT leadership on cloud consumption usage, performance and emerging technologies. Conducts capacity planning and performance analysis. Provides guidance on critical cloud services.
Ensures appropriate cybersecurity and data protection measures across all assignments. Protects the integrity of data by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate security controls, software, and hardware solutions. Interprets IT policies, standards, and guidelines. Conducts capacity planning and performance analysis. Provides guidance on critical cloud modernization initiatives and contributes to the evaluation and deployment of new and enhanced cloud services.
Ensures appropriate cybersecurity and data protection measures across all assignments. Protects the integrity of data by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate security controls, software, and hardware solutions. Interprets IT policies, standards, and guidelines. Conducts technical analyses and recommends resolutions for complex IT issues. Identifies, documents, and defines technical requirements for new development and improvement projects.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction with the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.

EVALUATIONS:
QualificationsFive (5) years of cloud system administration experience. Applicable education may be substituted for years of experience.
Experience in Microsoft 365, Azure, PowerApps, Power Automate, and Dynamics 365, with government cloud experience preferred. Demonstrated understanding of cloud automation, scripting, and low code development. Ability to translate business and technical requirements into well architected, integrated cloud and application solutions.
As an authorized and privileged user of Department of Defense Information Systems must possess or receive Information Assurance awareness by completing the Security+ Certification as a condition of access within six months of employment and thereafter must complete annual Information Assurance awareness training.
As an authorized and privileged user of Department of Defense Information Systems must possess or receive Information Assurance awareness by completing the DoD8570/DoD8140 requirements (i.e. Security+ Certification) as a condition of access within six months of employment and thereafter must complete annual Information Assurance awareness training.
