Hours: 12 hour - 7:00am to 7:00pm or 7pm-7am

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA

We are seeking a Clinical RN Supervisor, sometimes referred to as our Clinical Nurse Supervisor or Clinical House Supervisor. The Clinical RN Supervisor will ensure smooth, safe, and efficient clinical operations across the entire hospital. The Clinical RN Supervisor is the administrative representative of hospital leadership when management is off-site. The RN House Supervisor will ensure that staffing, patient care, crisis response, and interdepartmental coordination are handled without interruption.

Responsibilities

  • Assign nursing staff based on patient acuity, skill level, and staffing ratios, adjusting schedules for safe coverage
  • Oversee patient flow, including admissions, transfers, and discharges, to maintain efficiency
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and real-time clinical support to nursing staff
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, The Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulations
  • Facilitate communication between the Med-Surg team, physicians, and ancillary departments
  • Respond to patient emergencies, investigate incidents, and implement quality improvement measures
  • Conduct safety rounds and enforces infection control and medication administration protocols


Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
2. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

4. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC required 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

5. Previous supervisory experience, preferred.

6. Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting preferred.

7. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certificate within 12 months of hire and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) within 2 years of hire, preferred..

8. Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
FACILITY / UNIT TRAINING

1. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care.
2. In Paramedic Base Station ED, MICN, within 12 months of hire.

3. EDAP Certified Facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 & 2 within 30 days of hire.

4. Minimum of 4 hours of CEU in Pediatric Training Classes per year ENPC preferred.

5. Non-OB facilities: NRP certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

6. Non-OB facilities: Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 30 days upon hire.

7. Professional Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred.
