Key Responsibilities

  • Develop clinically accurate, instructionally sound healthcare simulation scenarios for nursing and allied health education.
  • Translate clinical competencies, learning objectives, and curriculum requirements into engaging simulation experiences for defined learner levels.
  • Design simulation content for AI-enabled, virtual, manikin-based, task trainer, and blended learning environments.
  • Create scenario components including patient cases, learning objectives, clinical progression, decision points, learner guidance, and debriefing materials.
  • Apply Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice (HSSOBP) to scenario design, facilitation, evaluation, and debriefing.
  • Review, validate, and maintain simulation content to ensure clinical accuracy, realism, instructional effectiveness, and alignment with current standards of practice.
  • Evaluate AI-generated content and learner interactions to enhance scenario quality, consistency, and educational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, educators, and clinical experts to develop and refine simulation experiences and product functionality.
  • Support scenario testing, analyze feedback from educators and learners, and recommend improvements to content and user experience.
  • Contribute to simulation libraries, educator resources, product documentation, and training materials while staying current on healthcare education, simulation standards, and emerging technologies.


What You'll Bring

  • Master's degree or higher in Nursing, Health Science Education, or a related clinical field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in nursing and/or allied health clinical practice
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience within a nursing program, such as ADN, BSN, or equivalent, including direct responsibility for simulation-based instruction
  • Demonstrated experience designing, facilitating, and debriefing clinical simulations across a range of fidelity levels, from task trainers through full-scale manikin-based scenarios
  • Working knowledge of the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice (HSSOBP) established by INACSL, with demonstrated ability to apply the standards to scenario design, prebriefing, facilitation, and debriefing
  • Strong understanding of clinical competency frameworks and the use of simulation for formative skill development and summative evaluation across health science curricula
  • Experience developing clinical scenarios, instructional content, curriculum, or related healthcare education materials
  • Experience evaluating clinical content for accuracy and educational appropriateness
  • Experience using or demonstrated ability to effectively work with AI-enabled tools and technologies


Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) credential preferred.
  • Teaching experience in nursing and/or allied health education.
  • Experience developing healthcare curriculum, simulation content, or educational technology products.
  • Familiarity with virtual, AI-enabled, and blended simulation environments.
  • Experience supporting certification or licensure exam preparation (e.g., NCLEX, NREMT).


Work Location

  • Realityworks AI is headquartered in Eau Claire, WI. This is a remote position, working from a home office with onsite presence at company offices or business meetings as needed
