Clinical Research Coordinator II, you will support innovative pulmonary and critical care research studies that advance scientific discovery and improve patient outcomes.
Be Bold.Join a collaborative team responsible for coordinating complex clinical research studies from participant recruitment through study closeout. You will work closely with investigators, research participants, sponsors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure studies are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do- Coordinate and manage pulmonary and critical care clinical research studies.
- Recruit, screen, consent, enroll, and retain research participants.
- Schedule and conduct study visits while ensuring protocol compliance.
- Collect, enter, review, and maintain research data and study documentation.
- Process, track, and maintain human biospecimens and laboratory records.
- Prepare and submit IRB applications, amendments, and regulatory documents.
- Support sponsor communications, monitoring visits, audits, and study closeout activities.
- Utilize systems such as OnCore, REDCap, and Epic/Maestro Care to manage study activities.
- Collaborate with investigators and research teams to support grants, presentations, and publications.
- Ensure compliance with GCP, FDA regulations, institutional policies, and human subject protections.
What We're Looking ForPreferred Qualifications- Experience coordinating clinical research studies.
- Experience with IRB submissions, regulatory compliance, and sponsor communications.
- Experience processing human biospecimens and maintaining laboratory documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Competencies- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and human subject protections.
- Experience with OnCore, REDCap, Epic/Maestro Care, and electronic data capture systems.
- Ability to manage multiple studies and priorities simultaneously.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $61,026.00 to USD $101,959.00.
