Full Job Description
Clinical Psychologist (PsyD/PhD)

$120,000-$170,400+ | Full-Time | California | Bonus Opportunities

Starting salary: $120,000, with the opportunity to earn $170,400+ based on the amount and mix of completed clinical work you choose to take on. Salary begins on your first day.

You're a psychologist. You love the parts of the work that actually use your training.

You love a great intake assessment: asking the right questions, seeing the whole picture, and figuring out what may really be going on. You care about diagnosis and differential diagnosis. You believe a treatment plan should prescribe thoughtful, individualized care, not simply check a box.

And maybe you love mentoring therapists: helping another clinician think more deeply, strengthen their case conceptualization, and become an even better therapist.

If that sounds like you, this role was built differently on purpose.

At Zeeva, you'll maintain a smaller ongoing psychotherapy caseload while using your broader expertise across the practice through comprehensive intakes, treatment plan reviews and updates, diagnostic consultation, and, when qualified, supervision of master's-level associate therapists.

You still get to do meaningful therapy.

But you also get to practice like a psychologist.

THE ROLE

Your doctoral training should matter beyond the clients on your own caseload.

Your clinical work may include:
  • A smaller ongoing psychotherapy caseload
  • Comprehensive intake and diagnostic assessments
  • Treatment plan reviews and updates across the practice
  • Differential diagnosis and diagnostic clarification
  • Consultation around complex clinical presentations
  • Psychologist-level involvement in Medicare care
  • Supervision and mentorship of master's-level associates, when qualified
  • Collaboration with Zeeva's clinical team around standards, learning, and exceptional care

Completed clinical work can include intake assessments, psychotherapy sessions, treatment plan reviews, and supervision of master's-level associates.

This is not a high-volume therapy position. It is a psychologist role designed to use the breadth of your training.

COMPENSATION

$120,000-$170,400+ annual salary, plus bonus opportunities

Your salary reflects the amount and mix of completed clinical work you choose to take on.

Because your work extends across the practice, a full-time role does not mean carrying 25-35 ongoing psychotherapy clients. You can maintain a smaller therapy caseload while also contributing through assessment, treatment planning, consultation, and supervision.

Salary begins on your first day.

Zeeva provides referrals and handles scheduling, billing, credentialing, marketing, and client-care support so you can focus on the clinical work.

SUPERVISION & CLINICAL LEADERSHIP

We believe supervision is sacred work and one of the most powerful investments we make in the future of mental health care.

If you meet California requirements to supervise associate clinicians, you may incorporate supervision and mentorship into your role.

And if you are drawn to having an even broader impact, there are opportunities to grow into clinical leadership at Zeeva, helping develop clinicians, strengthen clinical standards, guide complex cases, contribute to training, and shape the future of care across the practice.

If you are earlier in your post-licensure journey, that pathway can grow with you.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a psychologist who genuinely loves clinical thinking.

You enjoy the complicated presentation, the competing diagnoses, the history that deserves another question, and the moment when something finally clicks into place.

You believe assessment and treatment planning matter. You want the diagnosis, goals, interventions, and recommended care to actually fit the person in front of you.

You enjoy developing other clinicians and sharing what you know while remaining curious about what you still have to learn.

You are warm without sacrificing clinical rigor. Confident enough to offer your perspective and reflective enough to reconsider it.

You have never stopped being a student.

And you want your expertise to influence not only the clients you personally treat, but the quality of care across an entire clinical community.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Active California licensure as a Clinical Psychologist (PsyD or PhD)
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, differential-diagnosis, and case conceptualization skills
  • Strong working knowledge of DSM-5-TR diagnosis, medical necessity, and treatment planning
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, whole-person mental health care
  • Training and experience in evidence-based treatment approaches
  • Strong clinical documentation standards
  • Genuine interest in collaboration, consultation, and mentorship
  • In-person availability in Sherman Oaks and/or West LA preferred, but not required

Newly licensed and early-career psychologists are strongly encouraged to apply.

Experience with Medicare, older adults, disabled adults, treatment plan review, and/or clinical supervision is welcomed, but not required.

BENEFITS
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Medical and dependent care FSA
  • 4 weeks paid time off
  • Monthly Self-Care Initiative
  • 401(k) with matching after one year, up to 3.5%
  • Ongoing professional development and clinical learning ($1000 Annual CEU Stipend)
  • Supervision opportunities
  • In-House EMDR Certification Program
  • Opportunities to grow into clinical leadership
FIND YOUR CLINICAL HOME

Maybe you want to practice somewhere that takes clinical work as seriously as you do, without losing the humanity that makes it so meaningful. At Zeeva, we know this work changes human lives: one session, one life, one family, one community at a time.

Maybe you love surrounding yourself with fellow clinicians who think deeply, share what they know, ask hard questions, and care just as much about how we treat one another as how we treat our clients.

Zeeva is owned by a clinician and run by clinicians. Always. The people shaping our standards, our culture, and our care understand this work because we do this work. Just like you.

Here, your expertise makes a difference. Your perspective is part of the conversation. And if you want to mentor, teach, supervise, or help shape exceptional clinical care, we welcome all of it.

The wisdom of a team.

If that sounds like the clinical home you have been looking for, we would be honored to welcome you to Zeeva.
