Responsibilities- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of children and adolescents
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on individual patient needs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care
- Conduct research to advance knowledge in pediatric psychology
- Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies
- Offer consultation services to schools and community organizations
- Supervise and mentor psychology interns and trainees
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with psychological assessment tools specific to children
- Proficiency in psychological assessment and diagnostic techniques
- Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
- Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
- Regular and prompt attendance
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
- Related duties as assigned
Additional InformationEmployees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
Qualifications- PhD or PsyD in Psychology from an accredited institution Required
- Experience as a psychologist in a pediatric setting Preferred
- Licensed Psychologist in the State of Alabama Required
- Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
