Full Job Description
Full-time/40 Hours

Summary:

To provide direct services as a part of a multidisciplinary team, the Licensed Psychologist will provide direct care including individual (including youth), couple, family and group therapeutic services to patients, including assessments, treatment plans, discharge planning and psychological testing/evaluations.

Responsibilities:
• Participates in direct care to assess needs and coordinate services to appropriate population (children, adolescents, adults and families)
• Provides initial mental health assessments resulting in measurement-based care planning
• Provides brief, solution focused therapy
• Provide group psychoeducation/treatment related to specific diagnoses/presenting issues
• Provide psychological/neuropsychological testing to patients referred
• Participate in care coordination
• Maintains daily/weekly scheduled appointments in electronic records systems
• Provide therapeutic services to patients and their families
• Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members including external partners and agencies
• Completes required documentation and paperwork including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning and implementation in a timely manner
• Participate in our high-risk program
• Demonstrates cultural competency and commitment to patients including LGBTQ+ community
• Participate in supervising psychology trainees in accordance with ABA compliance

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Doctoral degree (Ph.D or Psy.D)
    • Possession of valid clinical license in Connecticut
    • Ability to diagnose using DSM 5
    • Experience providing direct clinical care
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Neuropsychological or psychological testing experience
    • Experience supervising trainees/students
    • Additional certifications in specialized clinical care such as DBT, CBT, trauma informed care, etc.
    • Experience/knowledge of substance use disorders
    • Experience/competency in working with LGBTQ+
