The Clinical Psychologist provides comprehensive psychological services to enhance readiness, resilience, and overall welladbeing. This role includes psychological evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation in support of mission demands. The Clinical Psychologist delivers evidenceadbased care for individuals and groups, assists personnel in coping with stress, injury, and illness, and collaborates across interdisciplinary teams to support psychological health and performance.

HOW A CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
  • Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
  • Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders including providing psychological treatment for individuals and groups, helping medical and surgical clients deal with illnesses or injuries, and assisting in rehabilitation of clients.
  • Produce reports of evaluation and/or treatment, as required.

WHAT YOU9LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

EDUCATION: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.

  • Minimum of (2) years peer-reviewable practice of clinical work in a mental health setting. Experience working in a government setting such as DoW or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF is preferable
  • Successful completion of an Internship/Residency in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.

This is a contingent posting, expected to start in 2027.

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
