DescriptionNYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk is seeking a
Clinical Psychiatrist to provide high-quality psychiatric care within Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) and Consultation-Liaison services. The psychiatrist will evaluate and treat patients, develop treatment plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support the delivery of safe, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and disposition of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and ensure timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and community or institutional partners as appropriate.
- Participate in multidisciplinary, departmental, and hospital meetings and initiatives.
- Contribute to quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and program development.
- Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and other trainees.
- Maintain CME and hospital medical staff requirements.
- Participate in Medicare and applicable insurance plans as required.
Qualifications- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
- New York State medical license.
- Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry.
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
Compensation: $275,000-$300,000
The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
