Full Job Description
The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist is responsible for the pharmaceutical care of all patients at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist must use knowledge and professional judgment to make clinical decisions concerning patient drug therapy. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will practice within a multidisciplinary healthcare team across a variety of practice settings to care for patients. Additionally, they will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the medication use process. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will serve as a primary preceptor for pharmacy students and residents. Finally, this position requires engagement in various committees within the facility including Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Medication Safety, Antimicrobial Stewardship, and others to improve the department and organization. Other duties as assigned.

Education: Pharm. D. degree. Completion of a PGY-1 clinical residency program or equivalent experience is required. Board Certification preferred. Must be licensed by State of Tennessee.

Experience: 1-3 years experience required.
