Summary:
Reviews, evaluates and dispenses individual drug orders including unit dose medications, intravenous additive preparations, total parenteral nutrition, chemotherapeutic agents, and investigational agents; interacts with nurses and prescribers to consult on medication and treatments along with drug therapy; monitors the drug therapy and offers cost effective alternatives, as appropriate; counsels patients in the proper use of prescribed drugs; oversees and directs pharmacy technician staff in the execution of technical functions. This position will be responsible for supporting the infusion and retail specialty pharmacy operations. Salary: Starting annual salary of $150,462 plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

License Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of New York
Education and Experience
1. Doctor of Pharmacy degree; or
2. Master’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience; or
3. Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of three (3) of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience.

NOTES:
1. Incumbents must be credentialed as a member of the organization Medical Staff (Allied Health Professional) within four months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
