Full Job Description

The Clinical Nutrition Manager provides leadership and oversight for the delivery of high-quality clinical nutrition services across assigned inpatient and ambulatory care areas. This role is responsible for managing daily clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting staff development, and driving quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight of daily clinical nutrition services for assigned inpatient and ambulatory care areas, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards related to clinical nutrition services.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, supervise, and evaluate clinical dietitians and dietetic interns, fostering professional growth and accountability.
  • Assess clinical nutrition operations on an ongoing basis and identify opportunities to improve workflow, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and implement clinical performance improvement initiatives, including Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) and other quality improvement projects.
  • Serve as the CBORD System Administrator, maintaining system integrity and supporting clinical nutrition operations.
  • Participate in System Clinical Focus Group meetings on a biweekly basis and communicate, implement, and monitor system-wide initiatives and best practices.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary teams to promote evidence-based nutrition care.
  • Support departmental goals, strategic initiatives, and organizational priorities.
Qualifications Required
  • Master's degree in Food and Nutrition, Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Certification by the New York State Education Department (or eligibility, as applicable).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical dietitian experience in an acute care hospital setting, working with diverse patient populations.
Preferred
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a clinical nutrition department.
  • Experience with CBORD or similar foodservice and nutrition management software.
  • Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement or performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Posted Salary RangeUSD $89,000.00 - USD $105,000.00 /Yr.
